I wish I actually had something to write about, but I don't. Life is basically an unending round of reading books, writing my thesis, and reading more books to write about.
Spring is here too. It seems like the entire city is covered in flowers right now. It's even snowing little white flowers around our apartment.
David and I have both been looking for jobs. The most recent job I've applied for is a full time English teaching job in Lycksele. It's a village in the middle of nowhere in northern Sweden. Not exactly the most desirable location, but a job is a job. I'll probably not get it because I don't have a teaching degree, but it can't hurt to try! Either David or I need a full time job or we both need part time jobs in order to survive. We figure we need at least 10,000 kr a month after taxes in order to survive. That way David can start paying back his student loans, we can afford to rent an apartment, pay our bills, take care of the car, and buy food and perhaps occasional bits of clothes and the like. Any lower and we'll be looking at significant decreases in our already pretty low standard of living.

one could always write about the difference between two cultures. What do you like and what do you dislike? Any thoughts about why?
I think things like that would be interesting to read about.
They would be very interesting to read! If only I had the time to think about and write them! You'd be amazed at how much time writing a thesis takes. At the end of the day, I don't even want to look at my computer!
