It's scary in a way how quickly this last year of university has gone by. I've spent all day so far (like 2 or 3 hours) studying. In two days I will have finished my last exam. I will not likely sit in a class at this university again. It is the end of one phase of my life and the beginning of another. Some things will change, others will not. The amount of support I'm getting from my parents will go down, but it will not be eliminated completely.
Since I got into the masters program and will be attending school, I'll still be on my parents insurance. My mom will help me with rent. I've figured out that I probably live completely on savings in Sweden without draining my bank account before I'm done with school. If I can get my mom to give me 300 USD a month that will almost cover rent. That's like a quarter of what she gives my little brother each month. 300 USD will get me like 2,100 SEK a month.
I also need to decide what to do about setting up a Swedish bank account. Do I transfer a large chunk of money over at once. Or just a smaller bit and hope the exchange rate improves? Life is so confusing sometimes!
