Today I drove to San Jose to tell the new students who will be going to Sweden what to expect. 4 hours drive there, 4 hours drive back, only 3 hours there. It was pretty fun. There were lots of scared parents. I don't get it, these are university aged students, why worry? Eventually they'll be out on their own in the real world anyways. Sweden is at least a pretty safe real world.
I realized that two years ago that was me there asking lots of questions and being confused and worried. I'll be going back to Sweden again this fall, but as more of an adult. I'll be living in a real apartment, with my boyfriend, cooking my own meals, taking classes, and paying more of my own bills. I think it's cool how far I've come. I was actually able to give advice and help out. I went from student to teacher when it comes to studying in Sweden. Isn't it interesting how we mature as we move through life?
Oh, and I seem to have quite a few people who check my blog from Sweden. UU is probably my friends. I wonder who swipnet and comhem represent.
