Does anyone know how to either block certain posters from being able to comment on a blog or to make a list of who can comment? I don't want to have to sit here and moderate comments all the time. I like to wake up and see people arguing about something in comments. I'm thinking I might need to make this a 'team blog' and only let those who are members of the 'team' comment on the blog. I'd add pretty much anyone, and just give them no admin privileges. What do you people think? Any ideas besides checking each and every comment before it's posted? I might do that anyways though... would take time for comments to show up, but that way I wouldn't miss any if people comment on previous posts.
EDIT: I added the word verification bit onto it. We'll let this go for a few weeks and see how things play out. Sorry for making you guys type in words.

Bleh, this word verification is annoying as heck.
hehe, It's not that bad, and it does stop spam
Hej, Jaenelle. I saw that someone from your blog came to mine, www.mylifeinstockholm.com , so I took a little trip over here to see what you were doing. Good luck with the move and everything. You might find some of the information I post to be useful, as well. Cheers! MyLifeInStockholm
P.S. I have a niece named Janelle
Words? Is that what you call it? :-P What's a "rdzfdy"? ;-)
I really don't see why it should be annoying. It's a rather simple yet very effective solution :-)
ok, mylifeinstockholm almost got their message deleted. ;) It started out JUST like all the spam messages. "hi! come to this blog, I need hits! While you're here buy some stuff!"
ok, mylifeinstockholm basically is an advertising blog. :P I don't recommend it. You can get the same feedback by reading a newspaper. :P
So far I haven't had to deal with any spam comments, so I'm happy. I hope the "word verification" works out. it is a bit annoying, but worth it if it will keep you from going insane. :) Hope you have a nice day!
